2001 Toyota Tundra Trailer Lights Not Working
A short would blow a fuse.
2001 toyota tundra trailer lights not working. Asked by JamesDean in Poway CA on July 03 2010. The trailer lights stopped working. I believe the reason the fuse blew was some corrosion I found in the wiring harness extension that is tucked into the tongue of the trailer.
I pulled both assemblies and installed new bulbs replaced the 15 amp fuse on the driver side interior fuse panel. My wife told me this morning my brake lights do not come on. Turn signals not working Toyota Tundra 2000.
Use a circuit tester like 40376 if needed to test the wires going into the converter box from the truck. On the Tundra the white wire is the ground on both connectors find the corresponding wire on the trailer connector and ensure it is connected to the trailer chassis. If it doesnt work you might have some loose connection or blown fuse on the running light circuit.
Ground is good and parking lights and trailer brakes work fine. The tail light and brake light same bulb are an LED bulb but that shouldnt make a difference seeing how as they have worked just fine previous to a few days ago.
